by Bruce Catton. It is pretty outstanding to read. I doubt that I could have stood being there.<br />
I would suggest reading Chapter 6 of<br />
Mr Lincoln's Army<br />
, before visiting Antietam Battlefield in Western Maryland. It would add a lot of interest to your visit.<br />
My next reading will involve the Sunken Road at Antietam.<br />
