Not everyone online is old enough to remember, but we used to have metal lids for the dumpsters.
They weren't the plastic ones we've had since 2010. Can you imagine the disaster of having metal dumpster lids during a civil war? We'd have people slamming lids on top of someone's head everywhere. Holy broken necks, Batman!
