Lovely Cormorant story!
I once had a seagull come to my door with the same problem. It was tangled up in the fishing line and could hardly walk let alone fly. My neighbour and I cut it free and managed to get the hook out. It was exhausted and spent the rest of the day under a tree in my place being fed soft cat food and water until it felt strong enough to fly away. I never saw it again.
Great rescue operation!
We both know that neither seagulls nor cormorants need saving, given their large numbers worldwide.
But then there are these moments in life when you simply can't look away. Some call it karma, others coincidence, or even the (albeit small) possibility that the cormorant or seagull was specifically asking for help. Either way,
