Oh I just remembered, there used to have a huge tabby cat come into the garden and he was always accompanied by two magpies flying above him. It was so weird but I guess they followed him hoping for some bits of whatever he killed.
We called them the Magpie posse.

They're very smart. Lots of character too. But they are noisy af. I love their spaceman hop. I just love them. My favourite bird. The first gift I got from my boyfriend's parents was a wooden magpie figure that sits on the edge of my bookshelf. They noticed my love for them.

They are supposed to be the companions of witches too. We have loads of birds around us and there's quite a frenzy when the magpies are around.

Not sure if it's just a Brit thing but if you see a lone Magpie you have to say hello and ask him how his wife and family are otherwise you get bad luck. I'm not even superstitious but I always do it
