<p dir="auto">In the middle of the night so you can't see much besides flames. Now that they managed to get it up they can let SpaceX launch its better rocket without the added criticism of having been beaten to space by the private sector despite taking much more time and spending much more money.<br />
NASA had previously been beaten by SpaceX with the Falcon 9 and really didn't want to get beaten by the Starship too so the FAA has been holding back on giving SpaceX an orbital launch license until NASA could get its act together with the SLS.</p>
