this doesn't really count as nicknames, but I've heard the Dallas Cowboys referred to as 'the boys' and Washington Redskins (before they were the Commanders) referred to as 'the skins' and the San Francisco Forty-niners called 'the niners' and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 'the bucs.'

Few teams have actual nicknames here. One comes to mind…the Cleveland browns are often referred to as the dawgs…the New York nicks is a shortening of the word nickerbockers…maybe a few more…but it's very rare
