Nicola Adams - Boxing, Gareth Bale - Football, Alistair Brownlee - Triathlon, Sophie Christiansen - Equestrian, Kadeena Cox - Athletics/Cycling, Mo Farah - Athletics, Jason Kenny - Cycling, Laura Kenny - Cycling.
Andy Murray - Tennis, Adam Peaty - Swimming, Kate Richardson-Walsh - Hockey, Nick Skelton - Equestrian, Dame Sarah Storey - Cycling, Jamie Vardy - Football, Max Whitlock - Gymnastics, Danny Willett - Golf.
Who would you pick?
I'm between Andy Murray and Mo Farah. Both amazing sports people and worthy winners. However, Alistair Brownlee and Max Whitlock aren't far behind. It's a wonderful line up this year.

Lol. Thanks for sharing your inability to care. Much appreciated.

I'm not sure I've ever cared who wins this.
I'll try caring now.
Grrr arrghhh harumphh grrr shnuccckk arghh.
Nope, didn't work. Still don't care.
But I'm looking forward to the speech though. I'm sure it'll be full of charisma, wit and entertaining anecdotes (and definitely not some inarticulate drone that makes me want to beat myself with a parsnip).

If they voted in May Vardy might have had a shot. Not so much since then.
It's close between Murray and Farah on pure performance, but Murray will win it easy.
The argument against both Trott and Brownlee is that they have less competitors to beat given the nature of their various sports. If Trott had won a gold medal on the road as well as the track she'd have a stronger argument that she deserves to finish second to Andy Murray. Same with her husband, there's the perception that not all of the best competitors compete in track cycling compared with the professional road riders.

In this context personality just means person.

Didn't Michael Owen win it years ago?
I've got pairs of shoes that have more engaging personalities than him.
Shall we play a game?

That's why it's cause Sports Personality rather than Top Sportsperson, or something, I suppose. However, I always vote for the person whose achievements seem most incredible. This year, it's Farah or Murray, for me.

It is funny the odds, because Laura Trott who has won 4 gold medals is favourite over her husband Jason Kenny who has won 6 gold medals. I'd like to think if I was in Jason's position and my less successful wife finished higher than me I'd be happy for her, but no, I'd probably be sulking for months!
The competition is an absolute joke anyway, Zara Phillips, give me a fúcking break, and all these cyclists who have won, well, the competition has lost all its credibility now.
I think Mo Farah deserves to win it at least once, I don't think he will though, Andy Murray will probably get it this year, but at least he plays a proper sport.

If Farah wins it, it will be much deserved. You may find me voting for both Farah and Murray! Lol.

Same two for me. I think Farah should probably win it, but he was the stand-out in 2012 and didn't even make the top 3!
