Fall guys had me crying the first time I played it. It sent me over the edge when I realized we can grab hold of and push players off the platform

At the risk of sounding like a snob, I only really bother playing ‘A level’ games nowadays.
And this game is just garbage and not worth my time
The only games I’ve spent much time recently on are RDR 2, The Last of Us 2 and the Tony Hawk Remake, which is a good nostalgic blast for 10 mins here and there.
In fact, those are probably the only games I’ve really spent any time on in the last year at all, aside from fifa

After sitting for about 8 hours playing it today, I completely agree.
I think it was the hype after so long, and the fact that the character creation was SO in depth. I'm a ex-Simmer so I'm a sucker for a great character creator.
Once you get past that though, it's not good - and is very depressing and ugly and clunky.
It was that initial excitement I think. I'm gonna be writing a pretty bad review about it tomorrow I think.
Scared to post it on the gaming page I usually post on cos everyone on there seems to have a massive hard on for it like I did yesterday. I'm surprised the scores are so low with the reaction I've seen, but I'm not surprised. Is metacritic actual reviews or public?

Do you think it looks good? It’s barely even 1080p at this stage.
RDR2 looks ten times better and it’s years old.
Plus the last of us 2 showed the old gen can still produce stunning graphics.

I like the game, but there are far too many glitches right now. The lip syncing is awful.

On ps5 though you’re getting the same experience as everyone else, just less bugs and a higher frame rate.
Hopefully the next gen version next year is good, but even then the core gameplay just seems horrendously basic and banal to me.
I played a bit more today and I’m giving up until the proper version comes out. It really does look like a ps3 game, and games like The Last of Us 2 and RDR2 just blow it away.

I've just seen the video which this screenshot is from, and it was a glitch playing on ps4 - that's not actual graphics.
Tbf, it is pretty ****ty of them to announce it as a ps4/xbox one game, then be all "well you're not playing on a ps5 so what do ypu expect?", but I guess the scope of the game is too overwhelming for the last gen.
They should've either delayed again to make sure it ran okay - or (even though it would have pissed off a lot of people) cancelled the last gen versions and make it ps5/xbox S/PC only
Still though, I'm so happy it works okay on the PS5 i experienced a tiny glitch earlier, a dead body fell through a wall and I could only see his feet - nothing which actually effects anything yet

I'm shocked you feel that way, although it's probably because you're playing on a ps4.
The photos were obv taken from my phone, and if you try to take a photo of your TV with your phone, it pixelates things. Here is a straight up screenshot from my PS5 - the amount of detail is mindblowing in game.
I've had zero problems yet, no bugs, glitches, and I love the gameplay and story.
I think you may be purposely hating on it because it's the most popular topic on the planet right now after Covid
When you play on a PS5 you will feel/see the improvement in the graphics, and it will run smoother, I promise.

I’m going to give this another blast before I start work, but I honestly think it’s crap so far. The pics you posted look like PS3 graphics, which was my experience last night. I’m playing on a PS4 pro in HDR with a 65” OLED. I know you’re playing on ps5, but it isn’t optimised for that yet and isn’t even 4K.
Reading online, they’ve released a barely ready game and it won’t be until the next gen version is released next year that this will be in any way resembling good.
They also only let critics review the PC version, which was pretty sneaky.
