So I guess all it took for the board to come together and to stop whining about how much we hated it here was for the board to implode.
It seems people want to make a subreddit. A subreddit needs moderators and, in the case of a group like us, moderators who won't moderate too much. We need some level of anarchy and faith that whoever ends up moderating will do so with honor, integrity and a fair understanding of what made this place work for us.
So who? Someone balanced and kind like Hobo? Someone fierce and fiery like like Sol? Something inbetween? And what about the karma system? Was a part of what made this board 'great' not that people said whatever they felt like without fear of being hidden away at the bottom of the page? Or would some upvote/downvote order actually make this place less toxic? And what if a mod decides to ban a reg? What if Harry, Sol, OGL or myself say something trollish/d/ckish or post a raunchy gif? Should anyone really possess the one ring to rule them all or will it end up being the ruin of us all?

It's weird, but I remember suggesting making a documentary about this board, or message boards in general because of how close some people get.
Wouldn't be that action packed would it though, 9 people typing for 2 hours.

I think we'd just sort after 'new ones' most of the time, unless there's too many people all of the sudden. Or maybe have it closed some of the time as to not tidal wave the board and only open the hatches occassionally for new blood?

You can set the interface language in preferences. Reddit is a bit of a cluster beep design-wise. If that is where we'll end up, it's going to take a bit of getting used to. Maybe "rising" is the one I'm looking for, but then it doesn't list how long ago the latest post was posted in the overview. Maybe it can be modded.
