I seem to notice this happening on every exclusive Microsoft or sony puts out. that's why I don't bother looking at the user reviews on metacritic. im sure it will smooth out though since im sure theres plenty of people rating it a ten who havnt played it either.

That's why I prefer to read carefully user reviews. It becomes very easily who's spamming and trolling the ratings.

It's funny because this phenom of user reviews spamming ratings to give games low scores started with Gears of War 2 some years ago.

I don't even know why it's worth getting upset about. If you've been following console gaming all this time, you know the trend was going to swing back towards Xbox. You can't try to humiliate one of the wealthiest companies in the the world and not have them retaliate on you. Sony's had this coming for ages.
If you couldn't see that coming, then maybe you need a cane and a dog to help you get around. It's common sense, really.

I'd imagine he believes it to an extent, but has created a character who acts antagonistic and arrogant for attention. Obviously he thinks if he just typed and acted as his true self then nobody would give him anywhere near as much of there time hes probably right. Also probably a little bit of sadism, deriving pleasure from the anger, misery and frustration of others.its kind of sad really

Lets see if I can explain this in a way that you'll understand
The PS4 slim is a model of PS4 that costs less than the OG PS4 to make. It's purpose is to replace the OG PS4 when the current stock of it is gone and to earn close to the money on less sales. The PS4 OG sells better now because it is being sold as part of bundles and reduced prices in order to clear stock.
Sony know that sales of the base level PS4/slim will be nowhere near as strong in the lead up to the PS4 pro and after its release,as it will be the go to playstation console. Hence why they are getting rid of the OG PS4 in favour of a newer,cheaper to produce model.
An incredibly simplified Example of whats being done
The OG PS4 sells for $200, but costs $150 to make, leaving $50 dollars of profit on each one sold. It currently sells 100 units a month. That means it makes $5000 of profit a month.
The new PS4 pro is announced. As a result of that, OG PS4 sales drop by at least half. So the OG PS4 will now only sell 50 units a month, leading to $2500 of profit a month.
Instead of continuing to sell the OG PS4, it is replaced by the PS4Slim which also sells at $200 but costs $100 to make. The fall in sales to 50 units a month is negated by the fact that they now earn $100 on each PS4 sold, leading to pre-PS4pro levels of profits from their Slim at $5000 a month.
Lower sales of the PS4 slim have been planned for and are expected, because its not about who can sell the most consoles,its about who can make the most money from them (According to you in the other thread anyway)

Since I'm on my phone now and don't feel like typing out a massive reply,that last post of yours once again proves you have no idea what you're talking about.

If the slim's purpose is to replace the older model PS4's, then it has failed. The older model PS4's are outselling it by far, and when that's out of stock, then what? The Xbox One S had no problem with it's users switching to the newer model. It was an upgrade, a good one.
Now Sony's in a position where they don't know which model to ramp up production on between the Pro and OG PS4, and MS has them by the balls now. Checkmate.

The Slim is a flop. I know what I'm talking about.
You rarely know what you're talking about.
The Slims purpose is to replace the old PS4 models with a cheaper,more profitable console that will make more money at a 299 price point than the old PS4 model would. Its not being sold or marketed as a brand new and improved you gotta have it console, its there to replace the previous PS4 model, similar to how the Phat PS3 was replaced by the slim and super slim versions. They want a cheaper to produce PS4 at that price point because the standard PS4 sales are going to drop as the PS4 pro becomes their major seller.
Simple economics that you dont seem to understand
Its also being sold at a time when a brand new hardware revision has been announced and will offer more for an extra $100. Consumers are smart enough to wait for it rather than buy a slightly cheaper less powerful console.
Also BTW, if you check the Xboxone portion of Amazons top sales, youll notice that theres at least 4 XboxOne S's with stock available to buy or pre order in there.. THey just didnt manage to sell as many as PS4 slim did
