I remember reading that. Remember that massive Tsunami?
Pretty wild to think about it. That a a huge earthquake can change the Earth's axis

The biggest earthquake ever was the one from 1755 in Lisbon.

For the place where I live, I appreciate the lack of craziness. It's something you can go elsewhere to experience and then go home afterwards. Like how it's interesting to visit country like India to experience a completely different culture, but you really wouldn't want to live there. The lack of mountains, though, sucks ass.

Morbid is that I kind of want to be alive when Yellowstone erupts again. Sure it will mess North America up, but the upside is that it will cool the earth a little.

Ditto. In some morbid sense, I envy a place like America for its weather and crazy nature. Denmark is hardly exciting on that front. It's safe and cozy to a fault.

I'm just in awe of them. I know it's crazy when I say I want to experience them, but I do..safely.
I've been through a level 1 hurricane. Major blizzards. But, I wanna see a tornado and feel an earthquake.
It's the Earth speaking in a sense.

Crazy. A 9.0 magnitude earthquake is completely beyond my comprehension. Natural disasters can be so incredibly devastating.
Like the 1815 eruption of the Tambora stratovolcano in Indonesia. The explosion was heard 2600 km away, with ash spreading 1300 km. 100 cubic kilometers of rock lifted into the air as if it was feathers. In Europe, 1816 is known as the year without summer. Thousands and thousands died due to starvation as the ash blocked the sun for months and months and sulfuric acid destroyed crops.
Or the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa. The pressure wave circled the earth 4-5 times. It f/cked up the ear drums of sailors 40 miles away. Such immense power released in a matter of seconds. Just stunning.
If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch you must first invent the universe
