With an escaped psycho killer on the loose, a young woman (Hayley Mills) makes her way across the English countryside by accepting rides from sketchy characters including a lecherous trucker, a voyeuristic salesman (Simon Ward) and an eccentric older gentleman (Sterling Hayden). Car chases, violent bikers and red herrings abound. Good whodunnit with plenty of foggy atmosphere and a twist ending that's worth sticking around for.
