This seems to be down to the folowing:
Fugazi, Steve Lake, Gameboy (when he was here), Juan, Bongo, Christina, Miley, Azn, Donna, Tara, Movieman, Soul Venom, and Aph.
Fugazi
seems to have a very large number of detractors, and also arouses active distaste (not sure why).
Steve
is despised, but a lot of people (including me) also find him genuinely funny and charming.
Gameboy
was as much despised as Fugs ever was.
Juan
is despised, but has a few fans (they may just be socks, though).
Bongo
is mocked, but feared by some and liked by a few others, since he has fighting spirit, to make up for being very dumb.
Christina
and
Miley
are the board's sanctified village idiots, revered for their extreme vulnerability.
Azn
is despised but there is something attractive about her willingness to expose herself to punishment. She is like a female Bongo, but with housing problems.
Donna
used to be more despised, but she has stabilized and has obviously signed up for correspondence courses in film appreciation and How to Be an Angry Black Woman Appreciated by Liberals 101.
Tara
is despised, but she is so incoherent that some wonder if she is an AI bot manufactured by Neo-Nazis.
Movieman
's excitable posts no longer charm, but he seems to have subsided into right-wing senility and is mostly ignored.
Soul Venom
's failure as an inventor and entrepreneur makes him not only despised but also pitied.
Aph
left the board after a ChatGPT announcement, so she's only despised
in absentia
.
hungry, Hep and a few others are mostly despised when Bentley is active. Otherwise they are forgotten and live happy and (mostly) undisturbed lives, reminiscing about glorious earlier days when people used to go to the movies with them or allowed them to touch their feet briefly.
