<p dir="auto">It's an OK British War movie about seven women who sign up and become drivers or members of anti-aircraft crews. Amongst the cast are Lilli Palmer and Joan Greenwood but it's an ensemble piece and everyone is OK.<br />
And yes, by today's standards it's a little stiff and perhaps patronising, but it's still a watchable little film and some of the historic details captured are interesting.<br />
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down!</p>
