So I am not the only one to consider Series 4 as below standard.
I found "Pig" completely unfunny and actually uncomfortable to watch. Two main problems: 1) it was very predictable and 2) it was stupid and puerile.
I KNEW Rick would push himself forward at the interview and it was obvious the pig would run riot. I love a bit of slapstick but this wasn't funny. I cringed as I watched the interview.
As for the neighbour thing, it is just too samey. Always the same thing: 'Hello Rick, can I have a word?' 'Not really, I'm in the middle of something right now'
Bla bla bla.
OK the rest of season 4 was a little better but overall:

Whilst series 4 has been the weakest series so far overall, the most recent episode 'Blade' is probably the show's best episode yet, so it's a mixed bag.

This series definitely not as good as previous ones. The Pig episode was just too contrived and bizarre. Got slightly better as series progressed though, and the penultimate episode was rather intriguing.
We call this the Loom of Fate.

saw episode 401 wtf! do the other episodes get better?
i was surprised by how it was overlit, over shot, new sets, had weird timing. just not as funny as it once was.
