I agree and see him as autistic more than anything. Weird choice for him, but Loren Dean was completely miscast. I don't think anything of him overall, career-wise.

Casting Hoffman as a mobster?
May as well put Mr. Rogers in that role.
Hoffman just doesn't have the chops to pull off being a tough guy.
This is Rainman who wouldn't hurt a spider.
He plays an asshole who throws tantrums and takes his anger out on others.
Like the fire marshal, which is a scene I find very disturbing since I have nothing but mad respect for the FD.
Besides that, pretty much forgot other parts.
