I did sort of like the premise of landing on a back world planet that had primitive humans on it already and making the tough choice to ditch all there technology and live basic lives. I mean they had enough technical know how that they could have caused a big jump in human evolution but decided against it.

I've never really watched the original BSG, but I am a big fan of the reboot.
Baltar would have to be my favorite character. Watching him try and fail over and over could've gotten old and repetitive, but James Callis gave such a charismatic performance that I couldn't help but hope he would turn things around for himself.
I do love how Grace Park essentially played two versions of the same character, Boomer and Athena.
I may not love everything about the show's ending, but the journey to get there was still a great ride.

I liked that as well. Again, source being the series. I don't think I've ever seen the original BSG, or if I have, I really don't remember it.
