I hate this movie because all the bullshit cult stuff completely negates everything the previous films told us about Michael Myers. I prefer Myers acting on his evil own rather than doing the wicked bidding of others.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

I have no idea why people hate this movie
It's no mystery at all to me…
There are 8.2 billion people in the world. 8.19 billion of them have never heard of and don't give a fuck about Charlie Kirk. Get over it.

Agreed on all counts. Producer's Cut Jamie's death was a cop out. Theatrical was brutal, as you said and gave him his first family kill since 1963. Long time to wait. Impactful. The score wasn't Howarth's fault completely, as he was friends with Carpenter and couldn't or wouldn't use direct links to it, or outright plagarism. He had to tweak it with new things, new tech. The guitar riffs were out of place and ill advised, but it was a sign of the times and his current mindset.
Similar to how Carpenter's style evolved so not to repeat himself, Howarth did the same.

It had been awhile since I watched The Producers Cut(Netflix had the Theatrical on it for quite some time) and her death in the beginning is junk. The theatrical version is BRUTAL and its way more suspenseful. One of my favorite kills of the series in all honesty. I also think that while it's great that they inserted cues of music from the Original Films, they didn't use them right IMO.

Hate is a strong word. I like it parts. I liked Loomis, being his last role before Pleasence died. I liked Paul Rudd as Tommy Doyle, Kara wasn't bad and Beth was pretty hot. Wilbur did a much better job as Michael this time than 4.
What I didn't likeproducer's cutWynn killing Jamie robbing Michael of his first family kill since 1963. He was due. Theatrical got that right.
Tommy, the blood, rocks and Samhain. That was just silly. The ending, moot, because Loomis died when Pleasence did.
Theatrical.the movie made no sense. Make Jamie's baby (with Michael as the daddy, disgusting, incest) and the final sacrifice. Jamie could've been that final sacrifice. Danny was supposed to be the new Michael, inflicted with Thorn and kill his family. Only problem is, Michael already killed them all except Kara. What was the point of that? The whole non-explanation to Michael's immortalitygenetic engineering? We did see fetuses, green goo and a DNA helix. The curse itself? It was never clear.
So those are just some of the things that bothered me about this movie. But I don't hate it.
