A really sweet and enjoyably laidback character-driven piece that boasts a lovely and utterly captivating lead performance by Robert Redford as a perfectly polite gentleman bandit who embarks on a bank robbing spree because it's something that he quite simply loves to do. Sissy Spacek likewise shines as the lady who can't help but fall in love with this guy. Casey Affleck lends sound support as the dogged detective who cracks the case. Writer/director David Lowery wisely puts the central focus on these three utterly engaging characters which in turn gives this picture oodles of delicate folksy charm along with plenty of heart. Very highly recommended.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

It's such a worthy capper to Redford's career.

Maybe there will be more interest in this delightful movie now that Robert isn't here any more.
