Just as good throughout the 2000s in my opinion but worse in the last decade or so.

Much worse on average. Everything is part of a dumbass franchise or a remake. Over reliance on CGI. The best movies aren't always even released in cinemas. Everything is too dark, in terms of lighting. All said, we're living in a very **** era of cinema.
