Our summer has been great!
Nights with our friends at the lake, days spent in our garden and swinging on our porch on hot nights, drinking a cold beer.
We have seldom had to water the plants due to the regular rainfall.
Life here has been good to us this summer.

They're actually native to the USA but some must have found their way down here a couple of centuries ago and now you might well say that they're native to NZ. They're endangered though and only 2 steps away from extinction

Winter here has been cold but very sunny. In fact after the sun warms up the cold nights and early mornings it's pretty nice to spend some time outside. I still have Monarch butterflies in the process of metamorphosis but I moved them inside where the temperature fluctuations aren't as great. Spring flowers are out already. I don't have anything exciting planned, but life has a way of throwing strange stuff at you when you least expect it.
