It does seem they swapped SS's sex for storytelling purposes, and not just for the sake of doing it. I'm honestly surprised they didn't just make Johnny gay and have him fall for SS anyway, since he seems pretty damn gay anyway. The actor himself must be really gay. I only caught the cam of it and I wasn't impressed.
But that's no biggy for me because the Fantastic Four have never worked for me, comic or movie and so I think it's just a story that isn't for me (For whatever reason).
I hope it does well with those who like it. The Nerdrotic guy who usually ****s on movies for fun seemed to like it and he knows all about the comics and movies with them as the central core to them. So it's got that going for it.
