A couple of months ago, a few of my timer recordings on TCM were ruined (at my cable provider's end). (As I scanned the recordings, first there was a little box that basically said "press subscribe or the signal may be interrupted," then a big box that said "TCM is temporarily off the air.") Now the same thing has just happened with a premium channel, Showtime Beyond. (Last night I tried to timer record
Beowulf
, the version with Christopher Lambert and Rhona Mitra, and the same damn thing happened.) This is disturbing because this is a premium channel. Anybody know what the hell's going on?
