7.2 is a very good and high rating for this film on the IMDb.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

Given the Dark Knight Rises has an 8.6 this film should be at least that. DKR has huge plot holes, a supposedly genius protagonist who struggles to out -think his opponents and yet somehow prevails whilst this film has a tightly written plot, smart characters being one-upped by smart worms and people who react how l expect l would react. l repeatedly hold it up as the perfect monster movie.

7.1 isn't low. This movie was a childhood favorite and I still enjoy it to today.

For a goofy monster flick, being in the 7s is a huge result.
I doubt other similar films do as well.

7.1. is a decent rating for that kind of movie. 90% of other movies of that style have around 4-5. I enjoy it, I gave it 7 stars too.

this movie is a solid 7.5. a 7.5 on imdb is a movie that is definitely worth a watch.

I'd give this film at least a nine. The perfect blend of Horror and Comedy. Gotta hand it to Bacon, Ward, Gross, and the rest.

But then you would here an outcry from people who would say it's nowhere near the same level as X film or Y film that got the same score. Because people on IMDB are dumb and don't realize the top 250 aren't the top 250 films ever made, but the top 250 rated movies on IMDB. If we had a list of top 250 films of all time, 75% of them would be boring "revolutionary forward thinking films" that only a film critic with a PhD in psychology and history would understand. I'm not saying they are bad movies because I really love some of the films that are seen as the "best" or "revolutionary", but others are just beyond the general person.

Yea this film is great. Love the chemistry between the two main characters and the fact it doesn't take itself to seriously. I count this movie among those that are great to watch when your hungover, never fails to make me feel better lol
