Early on I had a feeling Lacy was responsible for her child's issues. it's sickening she was that addicted to sympathy and attention she would harm her baby. Reminded me of the movie "The Night Listener". 20 years was not enough prison time.

One of my questions was about the place that took her and her son inthe place w/o locks on the doors. How in the world did she end of up there b/c I'm sure they have tons of people wanting in, especially if it's free (I don't that it was but it didn't say). I don't knowjust seemed too easy to me. Plus, why wouldn't they have locks on the doors. That was wierd.

from the beginning, i knew it was lacey herself who poisoned her baby. it's pretty disturbing. she got sentenced to 20 years to life in prison, which imo is very very light and unacceptable.

I'm glad she was nailed before she had any more children and poisoned them too.
Marybeth Tinning buried nine children (one of which may have died of natural causes) before she was arrested.

You're right. I am watching the "Garden Of Evil" episode of "Obsession: Dark Desires". The stalking victim is an ordinary looking woman. The actress who played her is beautiful.

The actress in the reenactment is much prettier than the real Lacey Spears.

I had a feeling in the beginning that she was full of crap ever since she was talking about how her dad was the father of her child but for some reason when she moved into the place with no locks I was like they were going to do something to her child so I was a bit surprised by it. I know when I usually watch this show the main person in the scenario is usually the victim and not the criminal.

I was actually surprised it was Lacy. I thought the lies would come from one of the people in the place she moved to where she wasn't allowed to lock her doors. This episode was one of the worst though. Who lies about being raped by their own father and poisons their baby for attention? I can't believe there's even a chance of her being released in 20 years. That sentence was a joke.

I remember this case, but I think it was on another program that I saw it on and not Web of Lies.
I'm certain my cousin's wife has Munchausen by Proxy and over the years has invented ailments to get more attention from medical staff and more prescriptions. It's nothing to her since she's never worked and state taxpayers foot her bill (she's on Medicaid). I think that's why she does it because she's never had anything going on in her life and has always sat at home, mostly alone, watching T.V. and eating.

Early on I had a feeling Lacy was responsible for her child's issues.
Same here. At some point I said to myself, "the show is called 'Web of Lies'so where does the lying come in? ah-ha! it's the mother!" I'm very familiar with Munchausen syndrome by proxy, and figured that was what was happening. But at the end, when everything she'd done was disclosed, I really had to question what her true motives were. Giving her child huge amounts of sodium seems more like a desire to kill him than simply make him sick. So I don't know.
