You could get a full pint if you wanted, but it was expensive. Anyway I bought some beers from their shop to take home with me. There was a guy in there from Essex who was also buying beer and he gave me a few recommendations.

I did not see John Like Pickard (English version), no. I did visit the other House of Madness though. They had some rather interesting art in the toilets AND some of the beers came in two thirds instead of pints.

So I didn’t eat at that place tonight because apparently they could only seat me shoulder to shoulder with a couple. I wasn’t up for that, so I left and had a little pub crawl on my own.

Maybe grab a few and see if you can get a deal on a haul like that.
They'll resell hiring after time and so it might as well be in your house than in a shop in York being manhandled by all sorts of fingers

It's about soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying what's on display

I don’t think I’ll bother with snap shots unless I see something particularly unusual that I haven’t seen before. I went into a couple of charity shops today. Charity shops are so much better in places like York, they have better things to buy. One of them had a load of old Beano issues! I thought of buying one but they had no prices on…I might go back and buy one anyway as they can’t be that much can they.
I also went into that antique shop and they had a whole bunch of comics like old 2000AD’s and some Rom the Space Knight issues. These were quite dear though at £10 and £5 respectively.
