I think there are worse offenses. I think there have been cases of someone winning where the show has been off the air for more than a year prior to the actor winning the award. Maybe something to do with airing certain episodes after the show has been cancelled.

2 out of 3 isnt too bad. Would have have liked to have seen Rami win though. How could Hamm win when it seems like Mad Men has been off the air forever now?

I was a bit surprised, but Rami Malek has been nominated as Lead Drama Actor for both the SAGs and the GGs. This bodes very well for him getting an Emmy nod next summer/fall. The show may also get nominated for Lead Drama.

Well before I see the first episode of Mr. Robot I'd said no chances because the Golden Globes are not fans of series for USA Network (in the last years they have nominated only Monk and the miniseries The Starter Wife) but now I think it's very possible that the Golden Globe nominate Mr. Robot and his star Rami Malek as the series is highly acclaimed and very deservedly.
