I've never met a single liberal that "doesn't care about illegal aliens" being in their country who was willing to open their home to allow a few of them in to live with them and sponsor them. As you've said, no one (that I'm aware of) is against immigration if it's done legally. Immigration regulations need to be fortified and streamlined to quicken any potential backlog, but open borders for unvetted people (that we then pay for) is not sustainable.

I don't think anyone has a problem with "immigrants". What people are waking up to is "illegal immigrants," the mass invasion going on in America and the UK by people who don't assimilate; never did, never wanted to. There are legal pathways to live within a country. Conflating those who break into a country with those who arrived via legal means, is an intentional and erroneous narrative. Add to that the "rules" being enforced that any acts of patriotism (ie: flying the flag of the country you reside in) or pride (unless it's the LGBT type of pride), is squashed and even punished.

I just dont want my tiny little country to get over populated and too multi cultural. Every other country gets to stay it's own country, why do the US and UK HAVE to split it's identity?
The countries that these people come from, if you was to go there, all you would see is it's own culture, no gangs of white guys making steak and kidney pie and talking about digimon!
