that one only gives you a couple of options for archive sites. you may not always find an archived version of a paywalled site with such few options
the one I use redirects you to

which gives you 5 options
and I've been using removepaywall.com for a while and it always works for me

that's because chrome is google and google is youtube.
which is why i don't use anything chrome or google related
that and they're constantly tracking everything you do and selling that information

I really don't know.
on mobile, the only way I can reliably block youtube ads is with brave or vivaldi. I don't think chrome itself can do that but I haven't tested it.

built into browser. don't need an extension.
vivaldi and brave browser both have great built in blockers that also work very well on mobile
