I remember years ago people used to stick wires in their meters somewhere or another to bypass it and get free electricity, but they used to do regular checks back then iirc so they'd have to be a fool to do something like that.
My bills have still doubled since the whole energy rise tho, but they are nowhere near as much as the start of the increase so I'm happy

That's not bad at all, but what do you do for heating? Is it electric? My bills are both around the same price. Around 90ish for gas and between 90-120 electric. If I hammer my dryer all month you can add an extra £40 on top which I don't think is bad at all, but my dad always tells me not to use my dryer so I bought a clothes horse to shut him up. I make sure to hang things on it when I know he's coming around lol but I still use my dryer during the week.
