Why hasn't a film been made about the Jennifer Mee case? Convicted of being an accessory to murder when she was not even there, she is serving a life sentence without parole. The parole board has a biased person in it, a young man sitting on their left end near the camera, who just kept saying "We have your confession". Sure, Mee admitted to her mother on the police station phone that "I set it all up, and now it has gone horribly wrong". But to 'set it all up' does not imply that one pre-medicated the murder, which was done by one of two young men over a drugs matter.
The problem is the 'accessory to murder' means that she did not do anything to try to stop it from happening, which in the state of Florida, and I suppose other states but not all of them, is tantamount to being the one that pulled the trigger. I think this is wrong, and Congress should take up the matter and apply to Florida the same laws as what most other states have.
She should be given leave to appeal, and it should be to a new parole panel.
