My dad did say to keep the book of it he gave me, which had 2 other stories, I think by the same author. He said to keep it forever. I've gotten rid of almost everything I own, in the process, also losing him. (EDITED.)

That sounds awesome. I still have my Signet paperback edition of A Christmas Carol from the 80s. Wonderful book. Dickens' classic never gets old.
