they are using canon SX30IS for there TVC shoots and even some small rodeo advertisements. Some people used the camera to make video tutorials on there websites.

Yeah, it's capable of doing some nice work. It's an entry-level camera but I've seen some really impressive video shot with a similarly entry-level T2i. Have fun with it!
