Parents have to be so careful what kind of irrational fears and phobias they pass on to their children. Not just the spider one!

Same, I either let them carry on where they are or put them outside, usually when someone at work is freaking out about a spider! It's interesting how the hysterical reaction is so easily picked up upon by the children. I understand the fear but not the killing.
