I didn’t say he “hated” her, the OP said they disliked each other. I said it didn’t matter.

That is not the reason and it doesn’t matter if he dislikes her or not. He did not endorse her immediately because he is methodical. He wanted to wait and see the reaction from the DNC as well as the general public. When it was clear that she would have overwhelming support, he threw his endorsement. Not that difficult to figure out.
