I visited Australia and New Zealand for almost five weeks back in March and April, and I never once saw a single spider or snake. You should go, they're
fascinating
countries, and the people

They sure do. Advertisements for visiting them scare me enough, much less adding in all the crazy, dangerous, large and deadly critters they have roaming. That decision to avoid Australia due to the crazy mutant creatures has stayed with me for quite a while now.

My spider buddies are all sweet and helpful except for the White Tail and the Red Back which I think are imports from Australia. Those Aussies sure have a lot of poisonous critters!

I find that hard to believe that some spiders evolved to be indoor only?
And how can they survive indoors if there are hardly any insects where there are more outdoors?

We have them up here as well, and I'll admit it, those do scare me specifically for the reason you mentioned. What makes them even scarier is how well they can hide and camouflage. Their bites are not to be messed with, that's for sure!

My friend got bitten by a brown recluse, his lower leg swelled up with infection and had to get some muscle and tissue removed,lucky he made a pretty good recovery.
