I'm not against the concept but I do think we'll need the equivalent of the Founding Fathers to write up what the solution should be.

I'm not against the abstract at all Soul, but it could certainly be abused by whoever was in power at the time and make life more difficult for a lot of people depending on their outlooks and what is in fashion at any given moment. Going against what the constitution stands for.

Citizenship should require some declaration of support of our basic freedoms. What that would look like is up for debate but at minimum a person should be required to support the basic freedoms enumerated in our constitution. If you are one of those who disagree with other people lawfully exercising their basic rights you should not be a citizen.
