They’re awesome actually. The one I got recently is a hand vacuum I got so I can clean my car. But I have one of the big ones (battery included). Yes it lasts like 20 minutes but I’m renting and it’s generally sufficient for cleaning an apartment.
Like a 2 story house would be a problem. These things all die fast but cordless is much easier to use while it’s on

I got the same vac. Doesn't get clogged as much since I have mostly hardwood floors. Great for rugs though. Decent for the price.
