The Dallas Mavericks stopped doing it for a while and nobody even noticed for a month until a reporter questioned them about it. Sure it happened during the weird covid time with no fans but it still shows just how little it really matters. Then the league had to go ruin a good thing by forcing it back on them.
The nice thing about the anthem though is it's a great time to use the bathroom without a crowd or order some food and drinks while the idiots are paralyzed.
