It seems like every week players are having surgery done on their knees because they picked up an injury, how bad can the ****ing injury be? In most cases, these players lightly limp off the pitch and then 2 days later you hear they will be out for a few weeks while they recover from KNEE SURGERY……I always thought surgery was a serious thing and the last resort, but these players seem to get it done just so they can heal a week or 2 quicker.
I am the furthest thing from an athlete and have never suffered an injury as such so perhaps I dont know what i am talking about, but if you can walk off a pitch then is there really a need to have your knee cut open and some dude go rummaging around in there? just use an ice pack and take it easy for a few weeks, jesus…

It could be that although the injury on the field was minor, upon inspection it was revealed to be caused by underlying structural damage that needs corrected or things could get worse from there.

Like i said, surgery always seemed like a serious thing to me, cutting a dude open and poking around in his body and sheit. I have hurt my knee before though when i tripped up some stairs and my knee bone went right into the pointy end of a step, it hurt like a bitch and I was limping for 2 weeks after, but I did not require surgery or even go to a doctors and a few weeks later everything was fine
I for sure would not take the small risk of not waking up from the anesthesia for something that would heal on it's own soon enough
