I just posted a thread about this topic, because there's still confusion about it. All the TV news reports I've seen refer to the killer as "Audrey." They just showed a press conference where a cop said, "She does identify as transgender, yes." A reporter asked, "Does she identify as transgender man or woman?" and the cop said, "Woman."
But online, many sources say the killer was born female.
