It is true that Trump's toxicity helped lead to republicans massive defeat last Tuesday, but who elected him in the first place? Who elected him after he bragged about sexual assault? After he mocked a disabled reporter? After he made many racist statements? After he defrauded people with his fake university? And who still supported him after he tried to blackmail the Ukraine to attack his political opponent? After he lied about election fraud and caused a riot at the US Capitol? After he stole top secret documents? The toxicity isn't just in Trump. The toxicity is in the republicans who supported Trump no matter how awful he was. You are to blame and are why republicans lost. The American people have rejected you.

"The American people have rejected you."
——————————————-
Before last Tuesday, the majority of Donald Trump Supporters thought that they were winning and that a majority of the country was on their side.
Now they know that they have not been winning (except maybe the U.S. House, they are close to winning it and having a very very small majority lead instead of the over 20 majority lead that they all thought they would get from the Red Wave that never happened) and that a majority of the country is not on their side.
I think the 2024 Presidential Election is going to be 1 heck of a battle.

No you don't. You wouldn't have been trashing Donald Trump the last few days and saying republicans need to look elsewhere if you thought there was really a red wave. A red wave would have meant Trumpism is successful so no reason to dump him, and if it was really a stolen election then Trump is who you would want because he is the one who leads the charge against alleged election fraud. You want him gone because you know there was no election fraud and Trumpism is a failure.
They placed all this faith in this huge red wave without really bothering to put any real effort into perpetuating and reinforcing said red wave.
Trumpism became the Republican party. He single-handedly took over. It became like a religion. Still is for some people, but not enough. It became successful enough to win an election, but is dying, and absolutely the reason Republicans didn't win as much as predicted.
Hopefully the party returns to something resembling normal. Let those freaks create their own party. Ostracize themselves even more.
