Before last Tuesday, the majority of Donald Trump Supporters thought that they were winning and that a majority of the country was on their side.
Now they know that they have not been winning (except maybe the U.S. House, they are close to winning it and having a very very small majority lead instead of the over 20 majority lead that they all thought they would get from the Red Wave that never happened) and that a majority of the country is not on their side.
I think the 2024 Presidential Election is going to be 1 heck of a battle.

Trump is blamed for everything bad.
He gets no credit for anything good.

A red wave would have meant Trumpism is successful so no reason to dump him, and if it was really a stolen election then Trump is who you would want because he is the one who leads the charge against alleged election fraud. Trumpism became the Republican party. He single-handedly took over. It became like a religion. Still is for some people, but not enough. It became successful enough to win an election, but is dying, and absolutely the reason Republicans didn't win as much as predicted.
