It is NEVER a good idea. And who has emotional stability? This is never 100% guaranteed.
There are also way more mentally unstable and ignorant breeders around than not. They are also not in the hundreds and thousands, but billions. There are plenty of people for whom having kids is a great idea, people with emotional stability and the means to provide very well for their kids and ensure a good future via college etc.
