oh my, OutKast might be one of my favourite hip hop acts of all time. so many classics and genre defining beats and tunes, it's incredible how consistent they stayed over the streak of like 4-5 albums. i love their catalogue so much… here is a selection of songs i love that just pop up in my mind, but i could just as well post the entire tracklists of almost every album they've ever released.
yeah they're my heroes, and between these two tho, André gets my vote. his flow, vocal range, rapping and delivery is just iconic, OutKast's truest signature imo
here are the songs..
the beat on this first track and Andre's flow to this, the entire production are out of this world, ****ing outstanding. THIS is the sound of the true GIANTS of Hip Hop.
and so on…. we are fortunate to have that music as a guiding light and a reminder that we are all standing on the shoulders of these giants.
