It's a superb TV take on the Ripper story. I can't say that I agree with the way it tries to convince the viewer as to Jack's identity. The real life crime is near impossible to solve over a century later; and yet it makes for grand film-making, and with such a first rate cast, a good script and superb production values it almost can't miss. I think it's great.
