Pookie's death
? I felt like he was taking whatever confidence Pookie had in doing good and squashing it when he said, "You owe a lot of people man", which may have demoralized him. I felt that was his mistake. Pookie was trying so hard to do redeem himself, and Scotty was harsh towards him. This may have put so much pressure,
he succumbed to drugs again, which causes everything else to happened, cumulating in, again, him being murdered by the CMB.
. Which is probably why Scotty says later says,
"I got Pookie killed" to Peretti, after his (Pookie's) funeral
, which I took to mean Scotty feeling bad
about the whole thing and telling him that
. The movie even shows it.
