Airdate Sept. 20th, 1973
Probably the best episode of the series guest stars Martin Sheen, Collin Wilcox-Paxton, and Lenore Kasdorf.
I mean should we really care about the bank guard who was just about to retire, yet decided to draw in slow motion while the bank robber has his gun pointed at him? He was definitely asking for it.
Mean people suck.

Huge Eastwood Fan. So very familiar with all the Dirty Harry Films.
The only poster who had his account banned 4 times without ever breaking any rules each of those times.

Dirty Harry is a film to watch as far as a good police drama on location in San Francisco in 1971.
https://www.sfgate.com/sf-culture/slideshow/Dirty-Harry-s-grisly-San-Francisco-202113.php
I think this show may have been inspired by that.
The good thing is the show was completely on location. Yes, after. Michael Douglas left the shark was jumped in Season 5.
But my favorite police show on location is Hawaii Five O which began in 1968. The reboot isn't too good, like most reboots.
Mean people suck.

Great Show. The chemistry with Douglas and Malden was outstanding.
Here is a little known fact about the show. Originally the show was supposed to air 2 seasons earlier in Sept of 1970 instead of Sept of 1972.
If that had happened we would have gotten 6 years of Douglas instead of only 4.
And no knock to Richard Hatch who was a decent Actor but he lacked Douglas's charisma and charm. So he was bound to fail as Douglas replacement.
