The point isn't that Sacks may have covered up Leonard's history of rape but that Sacks was a serial fabulist and none of his case studies can be trusted.

Leonard Shengold apparently wrote his autobiography (Which is actually an unpublished personal manuscript) after Oliver Sacks' Awakenings was published in 1973.
Going solely on that there is no evidence to suggest that Sacks was aware of these sexual exploits detailed in those writings, or if they were true and not just the imaginings of someone.
