<p dir="auto">Even though Joel McCrea says he preferred Westerns, 4 of his top 5 above are not Westerns.<br />
With McCrea being born in 1905, a lot of his Westerns came after he was over the age of 40. Perhaps, the studio was putting him out to pasture somewhat.<br />
One of my favorite McCrea movies is<br />
Primrose Path<br />
(1940) with Ginger Rogers. I would put it in my top 5 Joel McCrea movies.</p>
