I admit, it's a tough movie for me to get into but I did like it. Loved the creepy count, and felt sorry for him too. And Lucy(Adjani) was wonderful!

It took me three tries to watch the English language version all the way through: At roughly thirteen on ON TV. I was bored to pieces. Again on the Sci Fi Channel about 2001. Again, bored to pieces. Then, on YouTube twelve years ago. This time, while I still found it slow, I realized it was supposed to be a slow burner. I was pushing fifty. Then, I saw the German language version subtitled…the acting came off better in German and it kept my interest better.

that's a pretty silly reason to throw away a whole movie,but to each their own.

In the end the vampire didn't vanish in the sun. Lacks the beauty of the original masterpiece.
That is my beef with this movie, which is why I can never be interested.

believe it or not,it took me 20 YEARS to appreciate this,but it was worth it!
